If you’re seeing this page, that means I’ve invited you (your business) to take part in our EPIC EMAIL GIVEAWAY & Exclusive Free Bundle Offer as a collaborator / contributor, which would go out to our audiences via email in mid February 2023, and run for approximately 7-10 days.
The end goal: for the likeminded contributors involved (you, if you choose to participate!) to grow their email list audience exponentially (with a very on-brand audience) in a short time…
(while we delight our audiences along the way!)
This page is a way to:
Give you a sampling of how the giveaway would work
Share what your responsibility would be
And help you view how the user (entrant) would experience the giveaway
As always, I have designed this to be both simple & strategic (for both the user & you) so your time-commitment is minimal and also so it’s easy & exciting for the right user (our target audiences) to enter!
With that said, once you commit you’d agree to follow through on behalf of everyone involved, as a trustworthy representative for all of our audiences.
I’m Shannon by the way — MOST of you know me and we’ve collaborated before!
But for the few that don’t, I own Feather Blue Studios. I am a Brand & Marketing Strategist + Brand Photographer for big-hearted female entrepreneurs online. I have been in business for 15 years, live in MN, have 3 kids, love chai tea, dark chocolate, and blue oceans. And I so genuinely care about being a light in the world through my business as a world-changer + a huge encourager for my audience.
LET’S START HERE…
THE OVERALL CONCEPT:
The giveaway entrants will be women who want to grow / revitalize their business online
Everyone who is being invited here has women entrepreneurs as at least a core part of their audience (& a brand I trust)
The prize will ideally be a $4000-$8000 grand prize giveaway compilation from 8-12 different women owned businesses (my portion of the prize is a $3200 value to join The Small Business Bay incubator & entrepreneur community); whatever our total adds up to will be the prize value
Each contributor will have the opportunity to grow their email list exponentially (with super on-target audience members) since every one of us will be sending the giveaway entry page to our own email lists
But… you will not have to be flooded with the email address of EVERYONE who enters, but rather would receive the super on-target for you email addresses for those who choose to access your exclusive free gift in the goodie bag bundle (so you get the benefit of super on-target new email subscribers only AND we all get greater exposure overall because this increases the entry rate exponentially).
Participation is free for you — so ultimately it’s massive FREE EXPOSURE to an overlapping target audience with your commitment of providing your prizes + agreeing to send out 2-3 emails (in a way that delights & excites our audiences along the way!)
WHAT YOU WOULD NEED TO CONTRIBUTE:
Only 3 things…
1. A higher-level prize that we can add to the prize package:
Something (that the audience would value and want to win!) that is an experience or that you can deliver digitally — ideally with a price-point of $150 to $1000+.
Example: membership to your program, gift of a course you offer, a one-on-one consultation with you, an advertising or marketing opportunity for the winner, a significant gift credit toward any of your offerings, etc.
Our audience will mainly be focused on the U.S. / potentially Canada (or we may choose to limit to U.S. only per feedback we’ll gather later), but we may have worldwide exposure as well & could consider worldwide entrants — this is something we would take feedback on when you fill out your contributor form and will set the rules accordingly
2. A small but valuable gift we can include as part of the exclusive free bundle:
After entrants enter the giveaway, they will be re-directed to a page where they can access the elements of their exclusive free-bundle. (They will also be re-sent this page AT LEAST twice via email, so they’ll have multiple chances to choose your exclusive item in the free bundle).
The key here is that they can choose to download ONLY the free gifts they want — BUT if they choose 3 or more they have access to winning more prizes!
This massive benefit of this is that it gives you FREE EXPOSURE to thousands or tens of thousands of on-target women, without flooding your email list unnecessarily with people who are NOT the right fit.
This strategy here is that it relieves a huge barrier to women as they are considering entering — since they know they won’t be automatically put on 12 lists, they are much more likely to enter in the first place (& thus getting MORE EXPOSURE for all)
This small free gift can be anything you want (with approval on our end) that your ideal client would absolutely want to have, but will most likely NOT be a current freebie people can download already… something you can send via mass email after the fact such as a pdf, access to a mini course, access to a training, or it could be a coupon code to get something in your shop for free (which also triggers them being added to your list). It should feel a little more valuable than a basic “free download” but could also be a free download you’ve used in the past (but isn’t active right now).
3. The commitment to send 2-3 emails to your own email list regarding the giveaway anytime in the 7-10 day period it’s open (mid Feb, dates coming soon).
I will include sample wording & headers you can cut & paste if you want, or you can write your own.
Per example: you could send 2 focused-emails + include a PS about the giveaway in an additional email. But at least two full emails should be focused on the giveaway opportunity
Your audience will love that you’re sharing this gift with them!
Posting to Instagram is recommended but optional as well — and we will provide graphics — but the email sending is the primary requirement.
You have the FLEXIBILITY of when you send out your emails within the mid-Feb time range, so you can work it around (or tie it into) your other marketing plans for that week if need-be
EMAIL LIST SIZE NOTE:
Please note, unlike many collaborations, there is no minimum or maximum size email list to be part of this as a collaborator, though combined we will likely reach thousands or tens of thousands with the opportunity to enter
If I am inviting you, I know you have an established business, and share an audience of big-hearted female entrepreneurs in at least some capacity.
Presenting a beautiful, on-brand experience for the user is my priority, no matter what stage of extended growth your business is in.

Marketing experimentation is fun! I have done MANY Instagram giveaways, but this email-focused one is the first of this concept for me. (Have seen it done though, and enjoyed it as a consumer). I think it has amazing potential, but we will all learn along the way!
My goal is always to communicate your role easily & make it simple on your end to participate.

I have a short form you can submit once you are ready to participate to let us know your gift choices and provide contact information — and other than that form, sending out your 2-3 emails during launch time is your only promo commitment.
(I will want to personally approve each prize contribution & bundle gift to make sure it aligns well with our audience).
After the giveaway is complete, we’ll send you the CSV list of all of the email addresses who chose your downloads, and you would be responsible for sending out your bundle gift (adding them to your own email list provider) within 3-5 days.
After the grand prize winner is drawn, we’ll share their one email address with all collaborators and make sure they know to contact you to be awarded access to their prize. (We will also create a “how to access your prize” PDF for the winner to receive in advance).
Details & graphics & email cut & paste content will be sent to you (we’ll make it super simple for you to prep your 2-3 emails and call it done!).
